“First Finno-Ugric Cultural Days in Vienna”

From 1 March - 3 March The Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Vienna in co-operation with the Hungarian cultural institute "Collegium Hungaricum" and with the Embassy of the Republic of Finland in Vienna is going to arrange Finno-Ugric Days of Culture.

On 1 March, a jazz concert is going to take place at Vienna's most famous jazz club "Porgy and Bess". Meelis Vind from Estonia, Markus Ketola from Finland, Kalman Olah from Hungary and Karl Sayer from Austria are going to perform.

On 2 March, a literature night is scheduled at the Radio-Café of Radio Kulturhaus. The topic embraces the identity of the Finno-Ugric languages in the Indo-European language space. Estonia is going to be represented by Reet Kudu's novel and essay specially written for that event.

On 3 March at 7.30 pm, a concert is going to take place at the Glass Hall of Musikverein, Vienna. Estonia is going to be represented by New Tallinn Trio made up of Harry Traksmann, Kaido Kelder and Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann. The program includes works by Pärt, Tüür and Kõrvits.
